Nothing worse than being broke down and stuck in Kentucky. But if you ever are, please go to Tackett Total. Chris, the owner was very sympathetic to my bad luck. Luckily Tackett Total was able to change my luck. Ram diesel dually with a torn up transfer case on a friday... Chris did the impossible. He hunted down a new transfer case that was 2.5 hours and was able to get me and my son back on the road the same day before closing. Awesome awesome group at Tackett. From the owner down to the mechanics. Great atmosphere. Friendly knowledgeable service and out going. You cant put a price on the safety of your loved ones. We had a flat tire at the freeup storage next door to Tackett Total and Chris Tackett came to look at the tire and said he could fix it same day. They didn't have the size but picked up the tire at another business and put it on. He was awesome! I highly recommend Chris Tackett!

I called Friday morning after finding fluid near my back tire from hitting a pothole earlier in the week. I was in full denial about needing to get it checked out but thinking it was brake fluid, I couldn’t risk it. I didn’t want to go into the weekend with a toddler and a baby without a vehicle or feeling unsafe. I spoke to Kara who was absolutely amazing. She was able to get me in despite being so busy. They came and picked up my car, provided a full report and easy to pick menu with what I need/wanted to get fixed, fixed it, payed over the phone, and dropped it off. All before 5pm - I am aware that I was lucky that they were able to do it so quickly but the service and communication alone is enough to guarantee our business and praises to all! The pricing was fair and as a woman trying to get my car fixed it did not feel like they were trying to squeeze every last dollar out of me! I could not be happier with this business.

Kara and Chris Tackett run a GREAT shop. Customer Vehicle Safety is top of mind. When you drop off your vehicle, they conduct a Total Vehicle Safety inspection and make sound recommendation for repair or maintenance. Tackett Total is my go-to shop for my family's vehicles. They earned my trust one Sunday afternoon while broken down on the side of Shelbyville Road. They did not have to stop, but they did, they did not have to open the shop to secure my vehicle, but they did. By Monday afternoon my 1967 Red Mustang was running -- a simple problem with the fuel filter, repair charge was fair. Tackett Total is just that -- the TOTAL package. Great Team of Mechanics that treat each and every vehicle as their own.
